"Your voice is represented in government by your MP!" Is it? 65% of the riding voted for him. My disagreements (eg: whether I should be sent to a concentration camp to make me cis) have no weight. Every time I have spoken with an MP or MPP, they have brushed me off *because they don't need me*.

I cannot say that I live in a democracy when I have never had any say in anything. I have never even voted for a winning candidate—ever. And every time I try to go through the official channels for getting my voice heard (contacting my MP/MPP), I am reminded of this.
