Nope, it’s complicated. 😊 Everybody’s a bit different. A mix of major susceptibility variants, minor susceptibility variants, and some environment thrown in. It’s the typical pattern seen with most common, complex conditions.

Somebody very recently recommended it to me but I haven’t gotten to it yet. Thoughts on the book? I have heard about the domestication hypothesis— makes some sense though I suspect would be difficult to support.

I mean, he’s got some good stuff in there so far and he does seem to know his archeology, but that intro on genetics and going on about wolves and poodles…

This is to understand better what makes autism tick. This isn’t about curing. And a lot of these variants are in non-auties too, so this can’t be used for eugenics.
