The level of privilege these people are showing that they don't seem to give a crap that they may be one infection away from permanent disability is galling I'm high risk, my partner is extremely high risk, I can't take a single chance But fine, society just gets to abandon folks like us I guess
I watched a video this morning where someone was preparing for a convention but had been taking things slow because he'd had covid & it was wrecking him Then immediately went to the massive convention with no mask I wanted to scream They never fucking learn
I am four and a half fucking years into isolation now No events, no gatherings with friends, losing my local gaming scene, queer scene, can't even go in to medical appointments because the staff don't mask My life is entirely in my house, because so many people just don't give a shit I'm so tired
The visceral reaction I have to people who publicly state how they just got over covid (they never mask), only to go straight back out to superspreader events where they still won't mask, is painful There's not the slightest attempt to make things safer. Just go out, get sick, go out again 🤬
So here’s the fucking deal: if you’re a healthcare worker in 2024 who refuses to mask, you’re unfit. If you worked in a lab with COVID samples and refused PPE, you’d be fired. You are spreading disease to vulnerable. You should be fired. I’m done losing people to these human monsters.

It's such a weird feeling to be misgendered, but in a way that at least validates your transition direction so you at least feel kinda good about it I'll take a she/her now and then over the other direction, especially after I put in so much effort to grow these boobs
