I understand that too well! I started some on my personal account via some way I don't even recall now, but learned there was no way to change them. (SkyFeed does allow changes, though.) Oh well, we live with it then. :-) I'm glad you took the initiative to create it.
Willow End of Life Education and Planning is at willoweol.com.
We humans know from a young age, that some day,Ā weāre going to die.
Iām not either. I read one linked article, but decided to quit there since, as we know, the U.S. is nowhere near ready for the idea.
Excellent summary! Additionally, in Oregon a person who owns property can get Medicaid benefits by agreeing that the state can recoup care costs from the sale of the property after the death. Iām not sure all who agree fully understand. And, of course some people at EOL canāt read the agreement.
And I remember career nurses saying āIf they switch to *another* charting system (Electronic Medical Record system), itāll be the fourth [or more] since I started. Iāll just retire!ā The changes have to make sense to those working directly with patients, not only to the bean counters.
Wouldnāt it?! And I agree with you that weāre not prepared for that now. Another detail of the Australian governmental plan is that people have to pay in to get that benefit and other related ones. They donāt seem to call it insurance, though. Canāt say Iāve spent much time to understand it. :-)
Thank you. Iāll see if I can find it there.
