JM, the Madeiran newspaper, had a photo of the first three competitors of a 7,5km race at sea with the usual 1,2,3 steps. Slightly odd was that there was a man and a woman on each step, so perhaps a mixed double-kayak race? In fact a man's swimming race and a female race. 1 photo to save space?
