Like I don’t get it generative AI isn’t an information source. It never has been. It’s not designed to know “stuff.” It’s designed to recognize patterns and generate something using those patterns. It doesn’t care if it’s “accurate” only that it follows the pattern.

I'm around people all the time who say, in all seriousness, that they asked Chat GPT and then they rely on the answers. IDK how to explain, like look, you are asking the equivalent of a collaboration of reddit shit posters and expecting real information.
