Finally remembered how useful it is to track daily word counts when drafting. I'd been editing No Sympathy for so long that I just neglected the tool. Actually getting productive again.

Recently read: Erasure, by Percival Everett. Haven’t seen the adaptation, but this is likely the funniest book I read this year, albeit in an unremittingly caustic sort of fashion. The compact, quasi-nonlinear style made for plot turns that really landed for me, and it’s something I want to study 💙📚

I’ve felt like I completely forgotten how to write for the last couple of months. I’ve since realised I was putting a lot of pressure on myself (and had life stuff to deal with), and am relearning how to approach it. Hope you find your way back to it.
