Yeah, trans people tend to have EDS and POTS and be autistic with poor spacial perception all of which CAN make many of us quite unathletic. It’s the trans/nb - autism - EDS triangle. (The whole track team was defs autistic in high school, so many of us can absolutely be athletic)

They could either go the traditional route incubating in eggs, which takes a while but would be similar enough to current flu vaccines they MAY be able to move through trials faster (unsure about this tho). Or go mRNA route and start the process from the beginning.

They are apparently constantly updating vaccine viruses (experimentally modified viruses that can be used to create the vaccine) for this purpose, but vaccine development still takes a while even with mRNA as we saw with COVID. It was sequenced day 1 and it took almost a year to *start* giving doses

I know it’s not a competition, and would not want to minimize anyone’s experience with something like this. But it is important to also always recognize that (Black) trans girls are as a group the most marginalized and most in danger in any situation.

It’s horrible for both, but I would actually argue on *average* it’s worse for a trans girl because of the trauma they have been through already, and higher potential for abuse and violence based on the results of such an inquiry.

I’m also eagerly awaiting that antibody testing to come back… how long does it take?? You’d think they could rush process it considering it could be the difference between continuing watchful waiting and “omg its another pandemic right now”
