My guess is that official policy is NOTHING he says can get the Emails kind of coverage. The thing with Trump is he’s been escalating for years. If he says the most outrageous thing he ever said, & you give it wall-to-wall Emails coverage, when he says something even crazier tomorrow you’re stuck.

You end up in a situation where you never do anything other than cover insane shit he said, because he’ll never stop topping himself, or you take Joshua’s advice and win the only way you can - by not playing at all. I’m not saying I agree with that (I don’t) but my guess is that’s their thinking.
