I got long COVID after having COVID in December 2021. I was vaccinated and boosted, it was actually all the articles and he ask the guidelines saying that vaccines prevented long COVID that made me drop my guard. I feel like such a fool.

Long COVID is a impactful disease. Debilitating nature and quality of life is worse than life-threatening medical conditions. Recovery is uncertain and slow, if symptoms ever subsided. Without support and understanding ,functional impairment is dismal .

I would offer to fight anyone who denies long covid is real but I have long covid and fighting would probably put me in a flare.

I haven’t had COVID by some miracle (at least I’ve never tested positive for it) but in 2014 I had viral encephalitis. I still have side effects from that. I don’t understand why people act like Long COVID is fake bc this isn’t the only virus that does this & everyone reacts to illnesses differently

I know two people with it. And it's been debilitating for them. I know one person who had it but has mostly gotten over it after about 2 years, so there IS hope for some.

Yes, and well studied! Most people feel better within a year (a year!) but some people do not and just continue to be sick!

I really feel like they don't understand how much we do not enjoy helping transition people to the chronically ill life.
