You *do not* want measles, it will erase your immune system’s memory and you will have to rebuild it from scratch.
It sucks and it also transmits, caps for emphasis, REALLY FUCKING EASILY.
and not the good parts: allergies stay
In the UK there was a Measles scare in 1994 and we got vaccinated at school with MR. Is that enough or should I look into this?
Both me and a friend had to get MMR to enroll in school in Florida in the 1990s. Now I wonder if DumbSantis made that optional.
Just gonna add that you REALLY do not want shingles. Had mine in best possible conditions (rash, able to see doctor right away); 10/10 do not recommend.
Oh no. I bet Ill get a lot of guff for asking though
Read an interview with an expert. Interviewer asked “so after people have measles, should they redo all their shots?” The answer was basically “yes, they *should*, but these are people who didn’t get their measles shot. They’re not gonna go out and catch up on all the others.”
I’ve had the MMR shot 3 times in my life. If I get any of those diseases, I’m going to riot. 😄
I have the terrible, horrible, no good idea that it should theoretically also reset people's allergies. And I keep being like "So this is gonna be the good measles, brain?" And brain keeps going "We're working out the details!" Stop. Brain, stop. It will not work.
There's also a not-insignificant chance that it'll kill you, give you encephalitis or permanently damage your vision, so y'know, there's a lot of reasons not ot want it
