Elon Musk is actively calling for imprisoning healthcare professionals and therapists for providing care to trans youth that has been proven to lower their suicide rates by 73%. He also has declared he will lobby against their care politically. Every dime you give him hurts us.

In addition to these maps, some states have gone above and beyond in how they target the community. Florida and Kansas are now threatening trans people using bathrooms of their gender identity with arrest. In Kansas, a cisgender parent of a disabled teen was targeted!
11 states are now considered "safe states" for trans people fleeing other states. These states have explicit protections for trans people, their caregivers, and often also abortion providers and patients. Oregon was slated to be the 12th, but a Republican walkout has stymied it.
This map is of states defining trans people out of the law entirely. They erase trans and intersex people by eliminating them from any legal recognition of their gender identity. This includes drivers licenses, death certificates, and more. Four states now do this.
For drag bans, we saw initially, widespread failure. Republicans shifted strategies to instead banning "general obscenity" and "sexual conduct." We now see these laws essentially weaponized to target drag by labeling all drag sexual. We have 5 such states in effect.
We have 18 states with gender affirming care bans that have been passed. Two of them have been paused in court. Florida is banning adult care (!!!), while some states like Louisiana and Wyoming have beaten their bans. This is a map of results in R trifectas or supermajorities.

Pride Month is approaching and people need to understand the laws that are targeting LGBTQ+ people. This legislative digest will help do that.
Gender affirming care bans are not driven by science, and their sponsors are being dishonest when making these claims. Instead, they seek to legislate morality and force trans youth out of their care teams and into a world where they are no longer allowed to be themselves.
