Main thing I learned about Chicago during my trip is that it's a cocktail city and I'm incredibly jealous because StL is a beer city.

The trend will probably be heading your way. NEO used to be a beer heavy area (likes of breweries, multiple beers on tap, ect) but it seems to be getting more into cocktails (my downtown now has 4+ cocktail bars)
