I was going to add Valgavoth to my mono-black reanimator deck, then I read the rest of the card. I need things to be in the graveyard to reanimate them.

I don't think I actually read Valgavoth, Terror Eater completely when I saw it. Any card you don't control going to the graveyard exiles it. Then you can just play those cards. Sure, you have to pay life to cast things but lands don't have a mana value. He's also got lifelink... Wild.
