A couple of years ago, inspired by the urumi, I made a Celtic-inspired swordbelt for an exhibition. I had the itch to make a replica of the #Xena#WarriorNun#leathercraft#leather#art

4 pics. At the left, long pic of two belts hanging in a stone wall. They're shaped as swords, the buckle is the handle of the sword and the blade is the strap. The first is the Warrior Nun replic, cross at the guard and a circle around it, dark bronze painted, and a flat silver blade with some letters carved. The second is the Xena replic, golden-bronze guard and pommel, dark brown handle and diamong shaped looking blade, both painted in metallic acrylics, handle carved in several layers of leather glued together and painted aged to pop up the volumes. The second pic show both belts rolled with the point of the strap showing under the handle, buckle clasped and part of the blade at the side; the placing and lightning angle are different to show the glow and relieves, and the taper of the Xena blade, bent in half along the whole lenght. The last 2 pics are each of one wrapped in a metalllic bar at the top of the stone wall, front view, with the strap point showing under the handles

Three more pics of the belts wore by a mannequin on a brown leather cuirass, the cruciform sword above and the Xena replic under it. The first is a front view, the second an angled view from the pommels side and backlightning, and the third is a pic of the back side, where the behind view of the straps: the Xena one with the relief at the long middle of the blade, and the cruciform sword has engraved and inscription between two crosses that says NDXOXCHWDRGHDXORVI
