After spending a bunch of time watching UFO info spaces, I think it would be super interesting for an independent group to do a (probably somewhat unethical) study of the ease of inserting disinformation on popular topics and how it travels through social spaces

One guy famously tried it a few years ago but last I heard they were considering the death penalty for him (it brings me no pleasure to report this)
