He grew up in Labyrinthos, but went to the Studium in Sharlayan when he was older. He was a pretty dutiful student with a talent in botany and alchemy. Initially he was going to become a professor, but then the wanderlust hits - he studied to become a sage, then left Sharlayan to see the world.

From there he follows canon lore very closely, unlike E'speranza. (and the fact he couldn't have been a level 1 sage, obv). Got spotted by Y'shtola, taken to the scions. He got tangled with Y'mitrha and was an immediate summoner prodigy, and started studying allag from there.
