This country longs for fascism. I honestly don't think any other candidate or strategy would make much of a difference. Half this country simply wants an authoritarian dictator as long they perceive that he hurts the people they dislike.

This election is a first taste of the truly dystopian near future we're firing towards at full speed, where manipulative social media algorithms are being weaponised to create a propaganda bubble at an unprecedented scale and efficiency. One of my life's goals is to figure out a way to stop this.

I mean, in her campaigning as a "law & order" candidate she could at least *hint* she'll enforce our own laws re arms shipments to Israel, respect international law re refugees, AND keep Lina Kahn to enforce anti-trust law.
I feel like she could have kept calling them weird and not thrown Palestinians, immigrants, or trans people under the bus in favor of endorsements from cops and war criminals. She could have platformed on literally anything populist like M4A or student loan forgiveness and had it in the bag.
