Interested if anyone else is on H1 and H2 antihistamines for long covid, because it’s been a week now and I am SO sleepy, all the time, and forgetful too. It’s like my symptoms have been turned up to 11. Do I need to give it more time, or is this not working for me? #LongCovid

I didn't have sleepiness with Cetirizine or Famotidine. I did get a bit sleepier when swapping Ketotifen for Cetirizine but mostly channeled into more stable and longer nighttime sleep. Histamine is one of the hormones that keeps us awake, as I understand it? Can you cut your dose? Maybe titrate?

Think it's fairly common to have problems. I've had similar issues with fatigue etc ramping up big style. (ME not LC) Also tried one that made the itching etc so much worse. You may need a change of meds if things don't settle. I'm still on a quest to find the correct combination. MCAS is the pits.
