Well, I do regularly disappear from public view for years on end only to reemerge ravenous and screaming, but perhaps a plague of locusts was the wrong biblical punishment to channel in order to attend municipal planning meetings.
When I come into the other office from the lab and start with "So..." everyone winces. I'm the troubleshooter/rapid responder for problems so if I'm not with the problem...
