@cmdr_nova but coops aren't for everyone. Some Mastodon instances have ads for their users. That's not for me, but I kind of feel that if users know and can consent, that's between them.

@evan oh yeah, definitely, if there are instances with ads and people are consenting to it, then that's between themselves and their instance providers

@cmdr_nova we do not want to make everyone view ads. I know seeing "ad supported" in that list worried a lot of people, especially if they heard it second or third hand.
