Throughout my career, people have regularly rolled their eyes at me when I suggest ‘maybe we should talk to a lawyer about this first’ but to date I have never once been yelled at by a lawyer for doing something without talking to them first and I intend to keep it that way.

I’ve had lawyers yell at me for the thing I was thinking about doing, but they calm down a lot faster when you point out ‘at least I came and talked to you before I did it!’
