yeah on one hand i wish my parents had pushed me more to learn the piano, especially because i actually liked it. but i didn’t like basketball and i’m glad my dad gave up on having me do it after multiple unsuccessful attempts

ok i’m jealous because the 14 pro max i have that is less than two years old rarely makes it through the whole day anymore. but battery replacement, while expensive, is not near the cost of a whole phone.

I’m not sure my parents have ever had a cellphone for more than 6 years. they’ve had them since the mid-90s. And it’s totally unnecessary to get the newest iPhone; i had the 10 from 2018 to 2021 when it broke and then got another cheaper (less storage) 10 that i used for another year and a half.
