The screen goes blank for just a second. Your heart catches in your chest automatically, that deep exhale, eyes rolling... No. Get a grip. The screen lights back up. Probably getting ready to blow that stupid air into your eyes. You always hated this bit. Be brave. Don't flinch.
With the click of a button, she leaves and closes the door behind her. Not that you can see, of course. Your vision is taken up by that same scene of a little house, snapping in and out of focus. Shuffling back and forth, sharpening and smudging...it feels familiar somehow.
It is willing to teach them. you are willing to teach. you are willing to be taught. you continue cutting away, carving a shrine for It to spread It's influence. you are growing numb to the sights, the screams. your hands move. you are a passenger. you are an excellent host.
your staff are screaming. she is still trying to escape, even with her grey matter exposed. clutching at straws that somehow they will escape. they will become One also. it is the only way. but the path is long. paved with suffering. and they must learn, like all bad children.
