The short answer: If Ben Milton reviewed Knave 2E as just some other book—he'd like it. The standouts are the tables and Peter Mullen's art. However, Explorers Design is about the overall design. Specifically, the visual design, which excels in key ways and drags in others.

I'm still experimenting with the Design Delve structure. A few weeks ago, I got on my soapbox and then shared a bulleted list of observations, ala AV Club. This week, I'm using segments like Fear of a Black Dragon. Intro, basic delve, expert delve, and carousing. The expert delve is my "soap box."
