I can understand that, though i haven't played older tittles that much only a bit of windwaker while over at my friends, they seem like neat games but also a bit too restrictive in player freedom and they feel a bit more artificial and less lively to me

I might change my opinion later when i get the chance to play the older games if nintendo ports them to switch 1/2!

linear games aren't necessarily bad. that means they can make better stories!
