It's just positing an impossible inflection, right? That all the world will suddenly have the same birthrate in the blink of an eye. Which makes it pretty useless, other than to show the truism that the world would change drastically if the birthrate simultaneously changed everywhere at once.
That applies to gov tossing you in prison, not people forming a bad opinion of you. We don't hold trials to decide if someone is an asshole when we are credibly told they are, in fact, an asshole. We decided based on who is saying, how credible it seems, and then act accordingly. Same applies here

I am, in one of my incarnations, a very hands on, core developer, in...finance since 2005. I very def understand the tech, and the distributed ledger has some potential for helping banks do transaction management, but the "crypto" part, the mining, that has no legit future. Banal, not life changing
And ultimately, proof of stake is the only one with any real future, nothing sexy, just different ways for banks to track some sorts of inter-bank financial transactions.
So I'm left wondering, is a clinical psychologist and "popular parenting guru" really that "first day on the Internet"? Like, is that account an act?
