@mauve Yeah the usual way to share data among threads is to wrap it in a `Arc<Mutex<T>>`. If you know that the access is read heavy, use an `RwLock` instead of the `Mutex`.

@mauve Don't be afraid to `clone()` stuff if that works. Only torture yourself with fancy lifetimes later if perf is bad.

@hsivonen Knowing that people won't like it, platform developers enable B by default with little fanfare and explanations, and are surprised by people's reactions, eroding a little bit more their trust.

@simon They were doing it "purely" until recently though, and that brought them a lot of their community support. I understand you need to be pragmatic to get things done, but that also makes them a bit less special in my book.

@simon Since they switched from their "no reuse of existing libraries" policy they now rely on skia which is funded and maintained by Google.
