In the latter case, my favourite ever podcast now has a half-dozen weekly spinoffs for Patreon subscribers. All of them are fine but it adds up to about 8 hours a week of listening, which I don’t have!
I don’t know about her, but as an early adopter of podcasts, I have two main problems with the current ‘scene’ - 1) established broadcasters (esp BBC) dominating the sector to the detriment of independents; 2) pro podcasts having to spread themselves too thinly to placate subscribers.
