ai being used as the term reminds me of hoverboards, which were also some bullshit. I'm expecting some techbro to announce a bus as teleportation any day now.

IMO there's still room to make computers "smarter". But all this "AI" stuff does is zero progress despite the excessive back-patting companies do. They've managed to waste a cool sci-fi term on nothing. And the term is so misleading that people think there's even something there to grow.
