Today @kitvaria-sarene.bsky.social#SPFBOfantasy-faction.com/2024/meet-th...#SPFBOX#Booksky Logo image by Tithi Luadthong.

The logo for SPFBOX sits at the top of the image. It shows an exploding city with a fiery phoenix rising from its ashes. In the foreground is a man in a long coat summoning the beast. The logo is written in cream-colored block letters, except for the X which is written in red. Below the letters is written, "Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off #10, Introducing:". Below the logo is a rectangular sticker that reads, "Hello, My Name Is, The Fantasy-Faction Judges :)" with two dragon heads on either side of it. The background is a wooden tabletop.

I don't always (tbh, often, heh) agree with the winner of this competition, but the semifinals onwards are a great way to get a spotlight on self-pubbed fantasy that very often gets lost in the shuffle, and each year I've got 1 or 2 absolute gems I've really enjoyed from reading blurbs of said semis

Our judges review Morgan Stang's Murder at Spindle Manor for this year's Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off! 🐉 "The fantastical, the monstrous, and the spiritual side...are also well written and [fit] into the murder mystery quite seamlessly." fantasy-faction.com/2024/murder-...#SPFBO#Booksky

The cover sits at the center of the image. It shows parchment colored paper cutouts on a cobalt blue painted background. At the bottom is a woman in a Victorian dress holding a parasol. At the top is a spider. Its web is light blue and covers the entire cover. Three of its children are positioned in the center of the cover right under the title. Each corner of the cover is decorated with a filigree leaf motif. To the immediate right of the cover is the logo for this year's SPFBO finalists. The background is painted canvas in the same parchment color as the paper cutouts.
