Warning: in case folks think this site is some nirvana opposite of twitter, it is not. There are racists, ReplyGuys, sealions, harassers hiding behind anonymous accounts, etc here. And many shitposters who think it’s funny to pile on. The safety mechanisms don’t appear to be fully developed either.

This pretty much defines all social media. The only real safety measure is the block button. And even sometimes that doesn't work.

Only major difference seems to be intent, i.e. lack of an activist Apartheid Clyde cheering on the Nazis. I hope you stick around; it’s not perfect here, it just seems to suck a lot less. Then again, I don’t have the perspective you do; maybe better phrased as “hope it stays worthwhile for you”. 🤗
