im not saying we should treat suicidal ideation casually. but when so much of it is fueled by being different, being an outsider, feeling alone, there has to be a middle ground between not giving a shit and a 5150, between apathy and panic. i’ll likely be somewhat suicidal forever. it is what it is.

ppl think suicidal ideation is on/off: you either don’t think about it, or you’re about to do it. it’s not like that. it’s a voice. loud some days and quiet others. for me, at maintenance level, it’s a mental health bad hair day. yeah it fucking sucks, but it happens. there has to be room for that.
