Prof Whitty warned that another pandemic is a certainty and is likely to be every bit as bad as Covid. We have not addressed the woeful lack of ICU capacity that resulted in us being in a much worse position than other relatively wealthy countries. Nor addressed the trained personnel shortage.

And all throughout C19. The Daily Mail, Telegraph and a whole host of rightwing media news outlets threw their support behind one man. A PM and his office who deficated all over the UK public except right wing supporters, oh and Mone buys a yacht with tax payers money during a pandemic. Just 😲

Our hospitals are clogged up with the very old with nowhere to go. This must be urgently addressed
Considering the government had already trained for this happening but did nothing a few years before it . But depends on USA testing more crap in labs in China then releasing it by mistake lol 😆 get the population down
And the previous government and the media have pretty much trained the UK public to ignore public safety measures.
What will be fascinating about the next pandemic is that there will be a massive difference between the levels of response and outcomes in different countries. The better ones will be prepared and the worst will just be standing there complaining that everyone else is doing better.
If only we spent as much on pandemic preparedness as we do for nuclear war preparations.

Spoke to a GP about January 2020. 🦠 No advice and no equipment from government or the NHS. Their only information came from a phone call to a doctor in Italy! 😡🦠
