Personally I think it is not that being super rich makes you horrible, being horrible is how you get to be super rich. Normal people would stop at, say $20m, and try to enjoy life.

There is also an element of that. Quite a lot of them got some or all of it by inheritance, of course. I think that group includes a lot more of the hopelessly insecure type.
