It's easy to get stuck pursuing an idealized indie game - the Fez of Brazil, India, Peru, etc But that ignores the material conditions of each country. Maybe our top indies are not platformers with pixel art, but a mod for a PS2 soccer game - that's still being updated because BRs still play on PS2

Isso aqui é muito mais arte do que FEZ jamais será.

curiously enough, "indie" *is* a material condition descriptor first and foremost; the particular, crystallized aesthetics and ethics of it obfuscate any pursuit to the point of meaninglessness

Lembrei dos Guitar Hero 2 modificados também! O Brasil é gigante, mas a galera fica com síndrome de vira lata e não leva em consideração as coisas feitas aqui!

Could a Brazilian in the 2000s go work for a AAA studio in their hometown, get a deal with Microsoft to publish on Xbox Live, with full PR support? No. But could a Canadian mod a PS2 game and get it sold on streets all across Latin America to millions of kids for 2 dollars? Also no. Both are valid
