I went cold water diving this weekend in Tobermory, the area has very clear, blue fresh water and preserved wooden shipwrecks from as far back as the 1800s.

We visited the wreck of the James C King, which sunk in 1901 while being towed by the W. L. Wetmore. They both ran aground in a gale, all hands survived! The water was pretty cold but it was quite manageable in the thick wetsuit.
