There was a chap, Joseph Lyne, who tried to set up an Anglican monastery in Norwich in 1863. Called himself Father Ignatius. He was violently ejected from the city in 1866. He went on to build Llanthony Abbey, which later became a home for Eric Gill (shudder...)
He also spent a while in Suffolk
