Yeah, wood cutting board should be hand washed and pat dried. Once fully dry they should be oiled with a food grade oil. I use mineral oil myself, if the board is real tldry you're gonna want to drench it pretty good and let it soak it up for a few days then just a light oiling. After that dries

You should be good to go and oil as needed
