I get so tired of the way that dynamic is taken as a given in the vast majority of movies.
I have to run a whole check if I'm about to watch futuristic sci-fi that they don't have some key plot element that is just "Sex work, but in a more violent, disgusting, degrading way than you've ever imagined" Because obviously if you have flying cars you can also rape a woman to death for fun. 😒
