We are all three paychecks away from being homeless. Many are one paycheck away.

This is a great reminder. We must stay humble and support the most vulnerable among us.

Had a similar conversation recently, some people are just a few paychecks away, others several dozen, but few are truly secure in the US style of capitalism (which is increasingly becoming a fuedalistic system)

Too many people think they’re closer to being rich than they are being homeless, and they’re wrong. If they stopped deluding themselves, maybe they’d vote for the social programs and safety nets society actually needs, instead of supporting tax breaks for asshats with Russian nesting yachts.
