*Money* elects the leaders, unless you have a massive amount of energy at the grassroots level to push back. Your response comes across as somewhat callous and flippant, but also misinformed.

The irony being, this is what my husband constantly repeats to me. I don’t disagree that it’s money. But it’s also people. I’m very cynical. It seems everyone keeps swallowing the blue pill.
