Think I finally figured out the proportions for the spicy mango margaritas I’ve been making. The secret is adding an amount of Cointreau equal to the Gran Malo spicy tamarind liqueur, and then the tequila & mango mix.🍹

Also got my latest COVID & flu shots onboard this morning, so anyone’s guess how I’ll feel tonight & in the morning. Arm’s already a bit sore. Every COVID shot has knocked me on my ass to some extent or another, though still worth it.
Learned of Gran Malo Spicy Tamarind liqueur (tequila blanco & sugarcane spirit) today, and it’s making a very fine addition to the mango margarita I’m enjoying tonight after this crazy week.
Getting ready to fly home from an unexpected couple of days with our daughter after she ended up hospitalized with pneumonia. She’s been discharged & doing better now, but was scary enough at first for wife to book us flights with 2 hours lead time. And thankfully we have the privilege to do that.
It’s been quite a week. 3 major regional fires, plus an earthquake. One of the fires created some work excitement for a couple days. Southern California is so much fun sometimes. 🤪
Wife is on a 2-night business trip until tomorrow. Ordered a pizza last night since it was an office day but making a childhood comfort-dish casserole for my bachelor meal tonight.
I’m roasting a few of the Hatch chilis I just bought for tonight’s dinner & they smell so good. 🤤 More to roast this weekend so I can freeze them for future use. 🌶️
