Funnyface is another I wish had gotten more play. He had (i think) only one Golden Age appearance and then disappeared until an Earth-2 Mr & Mrs Superman story some decades later. @sandyjarrell.bsky.social recently did a fantastic Supes piece with him, making me want to see him again all the more.

I dunno. In the Contemporary age of media fragmentation and the shift away from a dominant monoculture that SOUNDS like a lot of viewers. I'd need a lot of contextualization there.

THE MUMMY (1999) might be the best movie ever if you judge it by the measure of meeting or exceeding its own goals. It's a mass-appeal popcorn flick that still hangs together beautifully with effects that stand up, great action set pieces, and comedy that doesn't insult the audience.

And yeah, unfortunate implications for the author aside, I've listened to a fun riff reading of it. And it was fun to read round-robin with half a dozen coworkers.

When you put it like that, it feels like a bit of a cruel passtime to read it. Not an unfair assessment.

Oh, you're missing out! It's hilarious as a party game where you pass it around and take turns reading. I actually did that over several lunch hours with some coworkers at my last in-person office gig.

Any thoughts on "The Eye of Argon?"

These three volumes are comprehensive of the original works?

Two platforms I see used most often (generally for direct commissioning or "drives") are PayPal and Ko-fi, though with both you need to be nondescriptive so it's not clear that NSFW is involved in any way. For products, I feel like I've heard of Redbubble being used? Can't speak to it personally.
