I think part of that friction is the on ramp to the game has to be good as well - tutorials that are fun for example. If you want to learn a complex game maybe try watching YouTube videos passively before so when you are familiar with some of the concepts.

THISSSSS ok so i launched Dead Cells for the first time last night, and the lack of tutorial missions and long dialogue was SO NICE!! I was able to just jump into a game with low stakes!!!! Ive never considered watching tutorials for a game before booting it up 👀
