Converted my raycast shader from Unity to Godot and learned a bit about compute shaders in the process. Maze is a bitmap rather than a mesh, and I like I get a bit of a fisheye look out of it. gist.github.com/partybusines...

Re: topical, I saw it used in a “people hated CGI just like they hate AI now” argument.

I’ve lately seen the take that “Tron was disqualified for Oscar FX nomination because using a computer is cheating” but I think some nuance must be lost. I could imagine fully CGI shots weren’t counted as FX shots. Maybe you know something that would clarify this?

Yeah, I’ll agree this is seems a good thing to have. Sometimes I don’t want to miss someone who posts once a week because of someone who posts 20x a day, but I also don’t trust the algorithm to decide which of those 20 posts I get to see based on engagement.

I guess that was really my second analogy. RTFM was discussing TTRPG design. Are you designing a play experience or are you designing a rule book you can sell? The latter has a lot of requirements the former does not.
