Good for you! When I started in PET journals used to charge 1000 dollars for a full plate colour print. For Understanding the Prefrontal Cortex (2021) OUP said I could have as many colour pictures as I wanted. There are 128 pictures, most of them in colour. Clearly publishing has moved on!
