That remains my favorite dumb discourse. What makes it special is that instead of putting on the metaphorical sunglasses and saying "yeah I guess just embrace darkness, normie" people get really offended that their deliberate transgression indeed transgresses societal norms

I think the only thing that seems to offend people in this discourse is the idea that transgressing certain norms = you're a bad person, as if we haven't been here before to horrific results.
