...was I supposed to dislike 'Civil War' or was I supposed to like it? Because I thought it was a solid movie, but for some reason have vague memories of everyone making fun of it.

i think we're supposed to find it dumb b/c they never explain why the civil war happened or the alliances?

The making fun was real. I just can't remember why. I just remember feeling like I'd gotten enough "we're on the verge of a civil war" from reality and didn't need it in a film.
