I'd recommend Silence. Scorsese makes the hell out of a movie. It's dark, but really good. Also, Hacksaw Ridge, but like if you don't like a WWII movie, there's nothing in it that's gonna change your mind.
War films generally don't bother me unless there's a TON of shaky combat cam (a la Saving Private Ryan), so I might have to look into Hacksaw Ridge. Thanks!
